I was upstate a while ago so I have some upstate pictures. None of birds since my birds stayed in the city with my boyfriend.
I did a bit of shopping for them before leaving. Bag O’ Bugs, Birdeez Buffet, Totally Organic Pellets, and some Fauna bird seed. Their bird seed is now vacuum sealed and I love it!
My mom’s dog is growing and still very cute. He had a lot of fun upstate and was overjoyed to have my dog for company. It was the first time he had been with another dog upstate and he ran around like a lunatic and smashed into my injured knees. Hard. Twice.
Obviously my dog is still the most handsome dog in the universe. What a brave explorer. I will show you a picture of the rock he was standing on and you will see how brave he really is.
Is this not the cutest picture in the world?!
Of course my dog immediately wiped his face because he hates cooties.
If you look hard you can see a very brave white fluffy dog surveying his kingdom.
And here is a picture of the rock itself. We call it Pride Rock. I can’t you how many stupid climbing activities that almost resulted in death took place on this rock when we were kids. I like this picture, it seems to capture exactly how peaceful it is there.
Here is a picture of a peach growing on our peach tree. Can’t wait to eat it!
We also have red currants growing up there. I love these so much.
Fauna seeds, the fruity budgie blend and the veggie cockatiel blend.
I also got some of those boing things and some pieces of pine.
I have a tiny stainless steel bird cage toy that I filled with balsa, those little brooms, and pine. It is for Squeaky and Iggy and they are enjoying it.
I also wanted to share some pictures of a fancy granola mix I bought for the birds. It is human food sold in a store in New York City. Normally I would refrain from talking about them but they make the most delicious miniature apricot tarts in the entire universe. A trip to our wonderful city is not complete without trying at least one. I was eating four a day a while ago.
I’ll take a picture of the apricot tarts if I can wait long enough. They are amazing. Amazing.
Today I was working at a farmer’s market and got a chance to leave my table and wander around. Letting me wander around a market is always a bad idea so of course I bought things. I will probably do a post on some of the stuff but here is a preview. I met a lady who sells hand woven dog leashes and I love them. I bought one for my dog and will take a picture of him modeling it tomorrow. It is a very flamboyant leash and I know my boyfriend is going to refuse to use it!
Here are some pictures! These are really nice leashes. The lobster clasp is what pushed me over the edge because those are very sturdy clasps and it is getting difficult to find a leash that has them that costs less than $40.
I can’t wait to show you the one I got!

Wow! Both your dog and your mom’s dog are really gorgeous. I have a soft spot for GSDs
The leashes are also really pretty… very unique looking!!!
I’m going to read between the lines and determine that you really mean my dog is gorgeous and my mom’s dog is…ehh…cute enough!
My dog just got his teeth cleaned so he is even more handsome than before. I will have to post pictures of the fantastic job the vet did.
I love the leashes! My boyfriend was not super happy about them since we have one bright pink and yellow leash and one leash that is baby blue with white polka dots. Not the most masculine patterns but so cute!
